Ways to Create A Life That Lights You Up

We have the power to co-create our lives, we can live in a cloud or we can actively pursue a life that lights us up. No, it’s not always easy. Yes, life throws us curve balls.

Rewind just a minute, I know what you’re thinking, “the co- creator?” Huh? Yes, the co-creator! If you need to refer back to my article, “The Ways The Universe is Talking”, then come back, I will wait right here. The Universe is co-creating our life with us, it’s listening to our thoughts, actions and wishes. As Gabby Bernstein says, the Universe really does have our back! As the creators of our life, it’s up to us and us only to send the right messages to our partner in crime.

I have been there, living the same day every day, waking up and realizing my “someday” or “when this happens” is days, weeks or years later. It doesn’t feel good. A life that lights you up sounds so much better! We deserve so much more than “someday.”

What lights you up? What gets you excited?

Make a list. You could be doing some of what excites you every day but there is an ingredient you’re missing. Sometimes it’s as simple as an extra minute or two, a phone call, a break, a simple step. Sometimes we don’t realize how close we really are to what we need.

What brings you down?

We are all about positivity over here but with light we need to understand the dark. What is bringing us down? What makes us feel, well not so bright? Make that list, then “create” the change. What can you reduce, what did you not realize was taking such a toll on you? Clear out the mess and start to see the light shine through.

5 Ways to Light Up

1.Be yourself
2. Make self-love a priority
3. Surround yourself with people who lift you up, not tear you down. (this may require lists for certain relationships that you think you should hold on to.)
4. Take care of your body, mind and soul. (This means eating the right foods, taking vitamins, giving yourself what you need!)
5. Contribute. Focus on helping others and your life will light up.
